It all started with a right swipe on Bumble. With a suave pick-up line, I had him instantly hooked. Early on, he promised me that he would provide adventure, and he truly delivered. As a reverent homebody, I found myself embracing new experiences—festivals, traveling, parasailing, jet skiing, and ziplining—thanks to his thrill-seeking spirit.
During quarantine, we had to get creative to stay connected, so we started a book club for two (yes, a book club!). When the world reopened, we were practically inseparable. It is rare for me to enjoy the constant company of others, but I cherished every moment with him. That’s when I knew I had found my person.
Then it happened—he popped the question. I thought I had peeped game and knew the proposal was coming, so I kept waiting for him to pop the question during dinner. When he went to the restroom and returned without any grand gestures, I was genuinely surprised. I was even more surprised when we drove straight home with no pit stops. Just as I was beginning to accept that I was wrong about the proposal, I opened the apartment to a beautifully decorated scene. The proposal was perfect. It was an intimate moment with just the two of us as he expressed his love for me. Of course, I said yes. And now we are here, days away from walking down the aisle.
As we prepare to say I do, we celebrate the journey that brought us together and look forward to a lifetime of love and adventure.

Kayla and I met on Bumble five years ago - she made the first move with the right swipe! We went on several dates afterward, and I realized that she was a special woman.
Since then, we've traveled the world together and have done many adventurous activities, including parasailing and jet skiing in Destin, Florida, zip lining in Ethel, La and riding a rollercoaster at Sea World where she almost ripped my shirt holding on for dear life.
I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else, so I decided to propose to her in October of 2022. With the help of one of my best homies, Jori, and his wife, Ari, I put together a surprise proposal (they decorated our bedroom with balloons, rose petals and lights while I treated Kayla to a dinner where she was expecting me to propose). Oh, the art of misdirection!
Cheers 🥂 to a couple of forevers♾️. Looking forward to celebrating our union in Barbados!!!
